BIPOC Artists Are Amazing
Hello and welcome back to Bipoc News! This is our first official blogpost! And it’s gonna be about…
Amazing BIPOC Artists in the Vtubing space!
First and foremost, Artist is a broad term in the vtubing community. Majority of the time, it means a person who creates art for a fee or monetary amount. These are called commissions. Don’t say that on Twitter(X) though… The bots are plenty. They will overwhelm your comment section. And sorting through who’s a scammer and who’s a genuine artist can be hard, especially as some of those scammers can be tricky, being that some of them are real people behind those scams and use many tricks. And then too, if you’re a vtuber looking for specific artists that won’t, for example, whitewash you or get your hair texture wrong, that can be so much harder.
Moreover, Artists offer a range of art types for various prices. In essence, they are the backbone of the Vtubing Community alongside Riggers and of course, chatters. Because without someone to make your art, animate it and people to watch, you don’t have a Vtuber. So, here’s my top 10 Vtuber Artists in the community.
Artists You SHOULD Be Commissioning
To get into it, once again, there are a wide variety of Artists in the vtubing space, ranging from Illustrators to chibi artists etc. Most of the time, you’re going to get a mixed bag. So, here’s some recommendations:
- Pucca the Clown
Pucca is silly gender fluid clown vtuber who makes art on the internet, and sometimes they play games! Pronouns are they/them. Their commissions include simple illustrations, vtuber overlays, panels, and emotes. You can find them on Vgen, the popular commissions website for vtubers. They also have a Carrd if you’d like to browse through and peruse their portfolio. If you just wanna vibe with the clown though, they have a Bluesky too!

So, if you’d like to commission them while not breaking the bank, I definitely recommend.

2. Mari Flameora. Or Just Mari
Mari is an Artist, a practicing Voice Actor, Adhd/Autistic driven Singer and Meow. Pronouns are they/them. This Vtuber seems to do it all. Ranging from illustrations, chibis, couple art and headshots, to emotes, bases, vent, bust up, and full body artwork. Mari is definitely a robust and talented artist who has a lot to offer. The way they mix colours can be so pretty! You can peruse their Carrd for their portfolio work. Though I do also recommend reading their Terms & Conditions for a more in depth look into the types of commissions they offer. Honestly, their art style is very unique and quite cute, at least in my opinion. Their commission prices are also in the $20-$50 range. So, if you like their art style, go commission!

3. Obi
No, not the Jedi Master. Obi is a 2D Animator and Illustrator Vartist (Vtuber Artist). Obi goes by any pronouns and honestly has some amazing, beautiful art that I personally, would like to consume like cotton candy. When you see it, you’ll agree with me. He is quite skilled, if you would like to take a peek at their Vgen, offering emotes, chibi art, close-up to full body artwork, and more! Obi is definitely one to commission if you’d like something for yourself or a friend.
Comms are also in the $20-$50 range. So, you’re also getting quality for a good price. If you’d also like to just follow them for the amazing vibes, they do also have a Twitch, and Twitter(X).

4. Rimulex
Meet Rimulex, the jack of all trades with a degree in Game Art & Design. Pronouns are He/They. Their creative mind is at the root of why he has so many skills under their belt. Talk about a go-getter! He also specializes in 2D and 3D Digital Art. So, if top tier 3D & 2D Artwork is what you’re looking, they’re your person!
This lovely Artist does an amazing job with backgrounds, full body and other art! He does have a Vgen, of course, and if you’d like to peruse their Carrd, I encourage you to do so. Hopefully you’ll see something you like. I know I do.

5. Karutan Arts
Karutan or Karu for short, is a smoll black disabled artist, as well as a Magical evil boy /bat vtuber, in his words. Pronouns he/him/they/them. His Art style is very colourful 90’s to 2000’s aesthetic, which honestly rocks. So, if that’s the aesthetic and vibes you’re going for, go for it!
Karu does it all, from headshots, full body, and half body, to chibi and ych illustration. He also has great prices and price range, so go commission if you want a quality piece for a great price! 6. Killaluna
Meet Killaluna, our resident Nekomatta Shrine Maiden V-Artist and an Art Streamer. Pronouns she/her. Her specialties lie in illustration, live2D, full body, half body, emotes, badges, chibis and nsfw. You need something a little spicy? She got you.

7. UniverseofNya
UniverseofNya, or Nya for short, is a Black Queer Artist and Animator working on a bachelor’s degree in college for animation. Pronouns are She/He/They/Xe. And of course, like his ongoing bachelor’s degree, she specialises in Illustrations, Emotes, Animations!
If you’re like me, you’re probably staring in awe at these amazing pieces. And if you’d like to commission, here’s the Carrd, and Vgen.
Seriously I am amazed at how many gorgeous and artistically talented people are in this line up.
Of course, if you’d like to commission Nya, I’d absolutely recommend. Especially if you need a headshot, a half body or a full body artwork in their style.

8. Starfluffy
Starfluffy, also known as Fluff or Fluffy, is a space pup commander Vtuber and a Vartist. She really enjoys Otomes and narrative-driven games, with a bit of FPS games like Warzone and Fortnite sprinkled in. Aside from art and games, she also enjoys a bit of writing. Pronouns are she/her. You can see the dedication to beautiful work in the rendered Illustrations down below. And honestly, who wouldn’t want such superb artwork.

9. SentientBeing
Sentient is a celestial and human merge-gone-wrong, a non-binary artist who loves all things gay, who streams art and gacha games sometimes, and now delving into Live2D rigging! If you haven’t seen Sentient around in the Vtubing Space, you have now. They are a very funny, candid Vtuber, who’s already great at L2D Rigging, as well as their Illustration Commissions. As per usual, sample works down below!
Hint, the Third is my favourite. Totally not because it’s from Wuthering Waves. Smile.

10. Mara Arcanum
Mara is a small teddy bear pngtuber artist. Pronouns are she/they. She specialises currently in Emotes, Character Illustrations, and Fanart. It’s always lovely and refreshing seeing fanart around, especially in the Vtubing realm. If you need a rendered Illustration, or a Coloured Sketch, you should absolutely commission them.

11. Kanovore
Kanovore, also known as Kano, is a Cryptid Vcreator & Vartist, a malevolent forest spirit that creeps through the shadows awaiting their next victim! Pronouns are She/They. Kano has been around in the Vtubing scene for a while, so you’ve probably seen them around somewhere. This lovely Cryptid specialises in Headshots and Fullbody, as well as Emotes, & YCHs (your character here’s). I have seen their work; they are absolutely amazing. As of course, shown by the sample images below.
So of course, if you’d like someone experienced to commission, she is absolutely a must as an Artist. You can find them on Vgen, and Carrd. I absolutely encourage you to check them out, especially if you need emotes, headshots or a fullbody artwork.

12. Feng Moonlight
Feng Moonlight, who usually goes by Feng, is an amazing artist who specialises in Headshots, Half/Full body sketches and Full rendered Illustrations! Pronouns are They/Them/Anya. They are a very lovely and beloved individual who wears their heart on their sleeve, in that, they are a very sweet person.
Of course, if you’d like to peruse their art, they do have a Carrd, and if you’d just like to vibe, they do have a Twitch, Bluesky and Twitter. Though please be advised that they are an 18+ Vtuber.

13. Yuki the Oni
Yuki specializes in illustrations with an expressive feel. Pronouns are She/Her. She likes to add a mix of colors to help bring a visual map for the audience to follow and enjoy! I love to have fun with my work and mix things up where I can challenge myself.
So, if you like artwork and art styles with an expressive feel, you can peruse her Carrd, and commission Yuki on Vgen. Or if you want to drop a follow, she has a BlueSky too.

And there you have it folks. A lot of gorgeous, and absolutely amazing artists. I know a lot of us Black and POC Vtubers can get nervous when it comes to choosing a Model Parent to bring our characters to life. Especially for those of us who have curlier and kinkier hair and want to see that represented. It can be a bit scary to find someone who won’t mess up our hair or skin. Genuinely I hope this blog can help you guys to find some Artists that will help bring your Models and OCs (Original Characters) to life. I genuinely recommend giving at least one of them a chance. You won’t be disappointed.
